Dog Obedience Training

Your dog deserves to get proper dog training. Regardless of whether you want a well-mannered housedog or companion, or even a show dog, basic dog obedience training is always the same. Your dog must come immediately when called and follow the command "sit" or "down" just as fast. It is unlikely that your dog will never be out in public and therefore your dog must behave well for you and around strangers. Your dog must be able to "heel" both on and off the lead.

There are several routes you can take to training your dog either separately or in combination. When I started out as a new dog owner I wanted to do everything "right". There is no "right" way - you simply have to choose a dog obedience training method that works for you and your dog. It is worth remembering that your knowledge and experience with dogs is critical to the success of any dog obedience training. I have used a combination of dog obedience training classes and books and these have worked extremely effectively with my labradors.
